GRID

Accessibility

Anyone who wants to compete should be able to. Here is what we do about it and how to tell us when something falls short.

Our Commitment

GRID is built so that anyone who wants to compete can. We design the app and this website to work with screen readers, keyboard navigation, larger text sizes and reduced motion settings, and we keep improving them. If something gets in your way, tell us and we will fix it.

What We Do on the Website and in the App

  • Every interactive element can be reached and used with a keyboard.
  • Images that carry meaning have text descriptions.
  • Text and controls meet contrast guidelines against their backgrounds.
  • Animation respects the reduce motion setting on your device and turns off.
  • Layouts work at phone, tablet and desktop sizes, and with text enlarged.

Inclusion in Competition

GRID started with a group of friends looking for somewhere to game together with a friend who had a disability. That is still the point. Hosts can set up events that welcome players of every ability, and we support hosts, schools and community groups who run events for the disability community with the same tools everyone else gets.

Tell Us

If you hit a barrier in the app or on this website, or you run events for players with disabilities and want help, write to info@gridgamers.com. Include what you were trying to do and the device you were using, and we will reply.
